In the last 60 years, Pellikaan has been the driving force behind the successful completion of over 900 major sports and leisure facilities. Pellikaan and B3architects currently design and build two 25m swimming pools for Sunderland City Council. One being at Silksworth and the other at Hetton-le-Hole. The Hetton Leisure Complex was demolished to make way for the Coalfields Swimming Pool with a 25-metre pool with viewing area, learner pool, fitness, sauna, reception and changing facilities.
