Hetton Silver Band Hall currently being demolished very carefully and will be rebuilt at BEAMISH OPEN AIR MUSEUM within the next year.

When the bandhall is demolished, I am led to believe that planning permission has been granted to build a house.

Hopefully this will lead to a general cleanup of the old community centre area and the corner of South Market Street and Summerson Street which at present is a disgrace.
